A carpenter doesn't want a quarter inch drill bit, they want a quarter inch hole.
The benefits/impact/outcomes are what people want. The way they want to be, the goals they want to accomplish, jobs to be done, tasks to complete. It's the progress and avoidance of friction (things they don't want to do).
