I unironically think this is a serious societal problem, and we need to come to consensus around it. 

I think I agree with the last guy in the first screenshot, just default to fist bump, it's the lowest common denominator.

The handshake is a commitment to harbour the other's germs until the next hand wash. Immediate sanitizing is blatant betrayal.

A fist bump is casual, appropriate for untrusting strangers.
