A lot of reasons but mostly dumb ones to the point it’s a meme. I’ve reached out to a few of them and they kind of laugh like I’ve been baited It started because when I came out I had a kind of crypto jesus thing cast onto me, like the second Vitalik or something, even though I’m more of a performance artist (I am a pretty workaholic programmer too but ultimately eliza is like an art project to me) Then I promoted the $eliza token by some community folks and by unfortunate timing it came out after some random “community” ai16zeliza token which caused many thousands to attack me and say I had rugged (?) After that we went to a billion, and I would interact with any project building on Eliza I thought was cool and try to give them some platform. This was perceived as me farming people through a conspiracy theory that I was side walleting every project Additionally, lots of people started using the tech and leveraging scams like when you fork, it shows me as a contributor, so they could say I was on their scam project, and lots of low information people genuinely believe that I made one of the many many scam projects around my actual project Some big KOL on X created Large Language Model with a fat eliza, someone in our community made a vamp on that and I kind of crashed out and supported the vamp in spite, tbh seeing how they took a character I really love and shat on it tilted me We launched auto.fun and I pushed some of the projects on there and coined my dog on the platform as a joke At that point it became a meme so I went and bought and sold every “fuck shaw” / “shaw is a scammer” token on pump fun and drained all the copy wallets and snipers Everything since then has been inexplicable conspiracy theories or whatever, plus a lot of fud around the migration When projects go up, people make money, rotate out and leave, so you end up mathematically with more people who lost money than make money ai16z was a fair launch, I got 1% which I rode to $25m and back down to effectively 0 and can never sell anyways without fucking over long term holders I feel a responsibility to. People assume I made some other money than that and basically treat me like an out of touch billionaire. So yeah, fuck tokens. I should probably just go apply at Anthropic, way better pay and less drama.
