Obviously me not being on X is hurting our token quite a lot, but I want to be clear that our approach to X is to fix that, not to try to grind an axe or give Elon a hard time or anything like that.
We already have a legal fund allocated. Even in the worst case, it’s not financially too bad, we don’t have to sell tokens to fund the lawsuit or anything. I don’t foresee any way things that can get worse for us than they already are, and the game theory at least on paper suggests a quick resolution.
We have everything in place to fix the token, get major listings and liquidity and bring the token to our partner chains. I think there will be a lot of excitement around our announcement and roadmap.
The only bear is the social accounts.
Why are we so centralized? Why does it matter what I say, or what our Labs account posts? Even if we are on a centralized platform, there are many of us.
A lot of what powered ai16z was the people carrying the message for us. I was grinding code while people like Kel, Mat, Coin Witch and many others were bull posting on our behalf.
I think the focus on Eliza Labs, on me, on the technical merits of the framework even, is something of a mistake. The value of the token is the sum aggregate of the ecosystem as a whole. It’s about people and what we’re all building together. If it’s just Shaw then what’s the point of decentralized agents at all?
I am a controversial figure. A lot of people (wrongly) think that I profited off the many projects I promoted which were built using our tech. I took a lot of heat trying to lift other builders up and I got nothing financial out of it. But the net result is that ill informed people have a bad opinion of me which leads to them having an opinion on the token and project as a whole. I would love to see ai16z grow beyond me. If anything, I’m getting in the way.
The narrative should be that ai16z has a rack of new fully AI generated and data driven TV shows and is reimagining what a DAO is, we just did a hackathon with a whole bunch of interesting agents and you can watch the judges review each project. ai16z DAO is the most data driven DAO ever.
@dankvr is driving the work that will impact agents in web3 as much as anyone and is a day 1 cofounder.
@sayo @cjft @borko and a couple other folks basically run and maintain the entire ElizaOS open source project day-to-day now
These people are not banned from X and you should follow them here and there!
We can win this thing. We can be a 100 year blue chip. We just have to adjust our approach a bit and direct our attention to some of the other voices in the movement. 9 replies
