Returning to normal life after a few days of inconvenience caused by Typhoon Kalmaegi when it slammed into central Vietnam. While it damaged homes and lives in nearby coastal areas, I feel so fortunate to be safe after all. Living without electricity and Wi-Fi for a very short time after the storm was an interesting experience in this modern world. It felt like traveling back in time to an era before technology took over our lives. It was also a truly wonderful opportunity for people to communicate directly with each other without smart phones’ interruptions, and to carefully observe the nature around us, such as a star-filled night sky. Do you remember when was the last time you did that?
