When they’re home and they’re awake, I’m spending time with them. I just sacrifice sleep if I need the time.

So much easier to check the time on my watch then pull my phone out. It’s not substantial, but it’s also not an opportunity for me to get distracted by the distraction-machine in my pocket. In fact when I’m working, I’ll put my phone on the other side of my office in order to remain focused.
