People in D.C. are super smart. You have a drink with some sort of Georgetown grad who works at the State Department—it's very impressive. They're articulate, they went to the right schools, they understand the nuances of deterrence theory, they know something about the Peloponnesian War. And if you lived in a world ruled by them, the probability of nuclear war would approach.

Contrarian opinion: It is a big misconception that the Islam somehow contributes to crime. The safest cities in the world are in Muslim countries (UAE, Qatar, and Oman). Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) is safer than Madrid, Graz, and Lausanne. Antalya (Türkiye) and Kuwait City (Kuwait) are safer than Lisbon, Vienna, and Valencia. Astana (Kazakhstan) is safer than Düsseldorf, Moscow, Sydney. The unsafest cities on earth are all in Christian countries (South America, South Africa, and even the United States). The problem IS NOT ISLAM. The real problem is letting in criminals without vetting them via open borders AND then not even enforcing existing laws and deporting criminals and illegals! The EU lets in ANYONE who comes via boat or by foot. Why? Let's start enforcing laws ruthlessly, just like the UAE, for example.
