look, I'm usually a big supporter of Proton. But in a world full of infostealers, you do not fucking tell people to store their crypto wallet private keys in a password manager - even if it's Proton Pass! And let's be clear: you should also not store things like passports, driver's licenses, medical records, or social security numbers in a password manager either. If you get compromised, all of that can be used to pass KYC checks and steal your identity or assets. I respect Proton, but seriously fuck this. That's not how you secure your most critical data.

You compile your kernel yourself. You sign your transactions locally. But you enjoy the tea that someone serves you with your continental breakfast?

If you want to get an invite for Circles - you can now check in a mini app who of the people you follow on Farcaster are already on Circles and can invite you!

Interrupted my Berlin crypto week to learn about an OG anarchist. Camille Pissarro's works are on display at Museum Barberini in Potsdam.

Every now and then there's an "there's a new version of Farcaster" (out something like that) link so the way on top. That one doesn't seem to be from the app store but something else. Every time I hit that "update", it takes a few seconds which is a few seconds too long and then I'll leave Farcaster and usually not come back until a few hours later (or next day). Just don't show me that button at all or handle whatever you have to upgrade somehow differently.

2 nights of my life gone forever because Qubes can't share its /boot drive with Ubuntu, doesn't tell me about it and instead fails in the most bizarre ways?! 😬

Well there's still this unresolved issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-desktop-provision/+bug/2060678 So the only way I could eventually find is to install 22.04 and then upgrading

TBH, I always thought these zoom scams were about getting you to install something. The fact that there are (were?!) remote execution hacks in Zoom is WILD!!! Be careful out there - and always level up. I'm happy to help people get started on QubesOS any day :)

Establishing trust starts with shipping and I'd rate this @ledgerofficial experience a total failure: 1. Most dodgy looking parcel tracking link (neither Ledger nor I am in Germany) - please handle this data in house and not with a scammy looking third party that nobody has heard before 2. "Your order will be dispatched soon" a day after "Your Ledger order has been delivered" is probably just a glitch but really made me think I got a scam delivery Generally, stop copying best practices of a sneaker drop shipping company and start behaving like a security company that deals with maximally personal data!
