In 1930, a bridge was built over the Choluteca River in Honduras. The bridge is strong, well built, and can withstand even a hurricane. It survived, but the severe hurricane Mitch, which passed in 1998, left the bridge intact. But the river bed was shifted by this hurricane, and the roads leading to the bridge were destroyed. The lonely bridge still stands as a monument to quality builders who were unable to foresee the future.
