Colony Log: Day 96
Long time no update.
The empire has been busy.
Management has been trying not to interfere.
Since the last report, the colony finally moved into the new test tube.
Then we had a heat wave, the water started disappearing at impressive speed, and they moved again after I replaced the water.
Housing policy: unstable.
Relocation department: exhausted.
Protein update: boiled egg is no longer exciting.
Apparently the empire has standards now.
So yesterday I walked into a fishing shop and explained that I needed food for my ants.
The staff were lovely.
We had a perfectly normal conversation about maggots.
I left with a free bag of adorable little horrors.
This should last at least half a year.
Unfortunately, I suspect the colony will eventually demand protein variety like tiny aristocrats.
The first maggot was accepted very enthusiastically.
Possibly too enthusiastically.
No formal thank you was issued. 🙄
Arena update: they still maintain a trash pile.
Every time I clean it, they seem to take it personally and start scattering seeds everywhere.
Rebellion behaviour: confirmed. 🙄
A few hours later everything is neatly organised again.
No explanation.
Only ant bureaucracy.

Every empire eventually reaches the stage where its ruler comes home carrying a suspicious bag of maggots.
Empire status:
Relocated.
Protein upgraded.
Trash politics active.
My authority remains decorative. 🥲
