Still Alive
Pain, but not the kind that's normal,
It's the one that burns within.
Pain from an opened wound
On my chest that's not yet healed.
Torments, doubts, and offenses,
Hopes, successes, and failures,
All have mixed and fused together
Like molten metal in the flames.
No enemies, no friends, just so,
Loneliness is suffocating.
I tear the shackles into pieces,
But who would even care for that?
