Colony Log: Day 59
Attempted to document my empire.
The empire objected.
Still no proper camera,
so this was filmed on a phone.
I got ~7 minutes before a call
terminated the operation.
What youāre seeing:
Protein feeding.
Small colonies canāt hunt yet,
so I provide pre-prepared food.
Today: boiled egg.
Immediate response: chaos.
Light + opening the incubator = stress.
The queen rushes the arena.
Workers grab eggs and cocoons and start relocating themā¦ everywhere.
This is defensive behaviour.
Theyāre trying to protect the brood.
I keep telling them:
leave the kids where they are.
They do not listen.
Arena notes:
bottom left: a structured trash pile.
Yes, they organise waste better than I do š«£
Scattered seeds = storage or leftovers.
Possibly both.
Relocation update:
a second test tube (fresh water) is available.
Scouts visit it. No one moves.
Decision-making: independent.
The queen remains highly aggressive.
Far more than expected at this stage.
Which brings us to a recurring issue:
I am, technically, the creator of this small universe. And yet, my authority continues to decline š
Plan remains:
grow to ~30ā50 workers,
then move into a full formicarium
where filming and feeding becomeā¦ less dramatic.
For now: minimal interference.
Empire status:
Growing.
Defensive.
Already ignoring management.
Making decisions without me š„²
