Modded a few panels recently, here are some things I do to prep (realise this probably hits a very niche audience of panel mods 🤣) I research the panellists - sound obvious but I feel like loads of mods don’t?! Knowing little details about their career or what they’ve been up to helps so much on adding natural segways or depth to the chats and stop it being dry - plus they know that you care and not just a robot I write questions AND transitions - I send the questions to the panellists in advance but I also think about how each segment of the chat transitions into the next and how to make that move seamless and natural. A skill that comes relatively easily after learning it watching hours and hours of live tv presenters in the 90s I take 40-80mg of beta blockers (propranalol is my weapon of choice) to stop the fact that my heart rate will outrace my oxygen supply and I will look nervous af and / or not be able to breathe, which obviously is not cute Hope this helps
