Sherlock Alpha (including variants like Sherlock Think Alpha and Sherlock Dash Alpha) → These were early snapshots of xAI's Grok 4.1 Fast. They appeared in November 2025 on OpenRouter as cloaked models (with massive ~1.8–2M context, strong tool-calling/agentic focus, multimodal support). xAI partnered directly with OpenRouter to offer them for free during the feedback window, and they were later revealed/redirected to the official Grok 4.1 Fast release.
