Would x402 work with casts? Like you prompt a reply agent and get a reply only if you pay Is this mini app required? Could be set an allowance in mini app / top up balance or buy credits Then once depleted top up via mini app? Who’s building subscriptions; payments and other utils for agents and mini apps here? Interesting dynamic bc w/ x402 seems like it works best when three parties are involved. For example: Farcaster user with wallet. Agent with spending permissions that makes x402 calls. Third party who has payment gated resource.

The mini app is a nice idea to manage this whole thing, but as far as the x402 / cast / agent reply pipeline this strikes me as more of an infra solution The thing is, if you have an agent on the timeline, it's frustrating not knowing when it will reply / what you have to do to interact. But it's also true that as a builder, launching an agent you might be worried about getting a huge openAI bill, so ths would enable metering of some sort but what would you charge for? all calls? certain types of queries?

I think that would require a way to make the x402 payment as part of the cast action, but if that was unlocked it'd totally work

In theory it's possible, but not supported just yet. Team working on x402 is planning a release to do an allowance style signature so the user doesn't need to sign with their wallet every time.
