Very simple, tons of designers don't touch code at all. Many are afraid of it. You can ask any question about html/css and they will already not know the answer or only used "website builder" software before.

New thing now is AI tooling, many will use that, but this will not bring them closer to actual dev experience.

👀 how do you define it? How do you tell if someone is that? Like in an interview for example
