Berlin has always been trashy and that for me has been part of its charm. Also nice was finding useful things and re-purposing them.
All of this went hand in hand with the spirit of up-cycling. It's a shame that this tradition is being forsaken now.
Recalls for me the film by Agnes Varda 'The gleaners and I' that revolves around what is considered discarded and by whom. One persons trash is another's gold.
Also wondering about the absence of any words relating to how this rule would be enforced. Ordnungsamt patrols? More likely it will be people reporting on one another.
