Market Manipulation? Or Market Mechanics?
When price drops fast, it feels like manipulation. Often, it’s structure.
What people call “manipulation” is usually this:
• Price ranges → leverage builds
• Obvious support → everyone longs the same level
• Liquidity below → stops and liquidations
• Fast sweep → cascade starts
• Bids appear after the flush
That move isn’t random. It’s a liquidity sweep.
Add CEX hot wallet activity:
During heavy selling, exchanges and market makers move BTC to where order flow spikes. On-chain, this can look like dumping, but it’s often inventory repositioning to handle sells and liquidations.
The chart shows a violent dump.
The structure shows: Leverage reset. Weak hands out.
Markets don’t punish people.
They punish consensus.
