Farcaster has officially passed into the hands of Neynar. Neynar will take over full ownership, management, and development of Farcaster (protocol contract, code, application, and Clanker). The old Farcaster team (including founder "DWR") is stepping down from day-to-day operations and will focus on new initiatives. Meanwhile, Neynar, who has been a key part of the Farcaster ecosystem from the beginning, is considered the most prepared to lead the way, with a strong focus on developers and builders.
