Yikes. Although I'm not sure this is in top 5 in the last half year. Elon spent more and got the US Treasury in exchange as one example, then there was the tech bros ponying up a million each for Trump's party, then there was the stock market manipulation....
Hey @ryangrim real question: Didn’t the Supreme Court rule in the last year or two that direct bribery of officials was basically just “gratuity”? Would anything come of this due to that and their unwillingness to prosecute Trump/immunity?
I ask bc I remember that ruling happening and thinking it would be absolutely exploited during a second Trump term.
..other than Citizens United that is.
I agree this stuff needs to be regulated asap. Im sure that will not be done any time soon.
