We wear shirts and merch of bands we love.
Musicians talk openly about what bands inspired them.
Artists often highlight, praise, and promote their inspirations.
Expressing this could be a native feature in social networks transcending art.
Thinkers, writers, builders, devs, finance people, farmers, roller skaters, coffee drinkers, etc could benefit from easily expressing the influences on their lives.
Most content on social media platforms lacks context.
At a minimum I think providing this would be useful for allowing LLMs to understand us. We can see the beginnings of this with Grok on X.
I’m exploring this space personally.
I’m coming up with a GitHub repo of the biggest influences on my thinking, and then eventually expanding to my entire life. I’ll report back if I find anything interesting lol but my intuition says there’s something big to unlock here…
