I think the approach is to understand people always tend to that (instead of acting like you can get rid of it) and to try to incentivize people away from it. So red would be basic tribalism, blue would be to act like their solution doesn’t also result in tribalism, and gray would be realize it will always exist and set up incentives to mitigate it.
