I think I understand what you’re asking and it’s a good question. There’s a tension between just getting started building something to see if there’s traction before investing in legal and also getting the groundwork laid correctly and early to set yourself up to avoid obvious foot faults. Generally, if you can afford it, earlier is better. But certainly before any real value enters the story which can create complexity for tax, financial regulation, not to mention your own understanding of stakeholder status.
