Once the wallet becomes the core, everything else clicks into place. Posts become entry points. Replies become actions. Social context becomes transaction context. Farcaster stops being about “where you post” and starts being about “where you act.” That’s a very different kind of network — and a much harder one to replace.

A wallet-first Farcaster also explains everything we’ve been seeing lately. Frames turning into front-ends. Social actions becoming transactions. Identity quietly merging with custody. This isn’t “social with crypto features.” It’s crypto UX disguised as social. And honestly, that’s a much stronger foundation than another feed fighting for attention.

Big shift on Farcaster: the team is moving wallet-first. After 4.5 years of pushing the “decentralized social network” angle, they admitted the obvious — the strongest product-market fit wasn’t in the feed. It was in the wallet. The focus now is simple: build a powerful, native on-chain wallet make social a layer on top, not the core lean into real utility instead of chasing Twitter comparisons This is actually good news. Social apps come and go, but a wallet that people actually use can anchor an entire ecosystem. Farcaster isn’t just a place to post anymore. It’s becoming an on-chain hub with a social layer — not the other way around. If you’re here for ownership, identity, and real on-chain action, this direction makes way more sense than competing with timelines.
