Airdrop projects prefer "on-chain asset filtering" over "wallet age filtering" because it provides more accurate insights into a user's engagement and activity within the ecosystem. On-chain assets, like tokens or NFTs, directly reflect a user’s investment and participation in the project, making them more reliable indicators of interest. Wallet age, on the other hand, only measures the length of time a wallet has existed, which doesn’t guarantee active involvement or genuine interest. By focusing on on-chain assets, projects can better target engaged users, ensuring higher-quality participation and reducing the risk of bots or inactive accounts.
