Project Description:
In Banyuwangi, Indonesia, I brought together 169 of my students to plant mangroves at Pulau Santen Beach, a coastal area increasingly affected by erosion
This wasn’t just a tree-planting — it was public goods in action. My students learned environmental responsibility hands-on, worked collectively, and ended the activity holding a large handmade “Nouns” sign as a message of appreciation to the Nouns community.
No funding, no sponsors — just youth, action, and belief in decentralized hope.
