Sui clarified (https://x.com/suinetwork/status/1927077606488252775?s=46&t=W6z6vhknmFHfiq4p-raArg) that the Cetus incident resulted from a bug in Cetus’s own math library, not from any vulnerability in the Sui network or the Move language. However, given the serious effect on users, Sui plans to strengthen ecosystem security by outlining its existing protections and committing an extra $10 million to audits, bug bounties, formal verification, and other security-focused efforts.
