I'd say serendipity looks like chance, but it rarely feels random. Looking back at the most astonishing surprises in my life, I can't help feeling there's a path of some sort. As long as you stay on it, unexplained little miracles seem to happen. The moment you drift away, they become a lot rarer. And I'm completely with you on the growth part.
