@derek really like the Native UI concepts so far. And that you're sharing the behind-the-scenes process.
Thought I'd share this UI from Wilmots Warehouse (the game) as a sample alternative view for inspiration. Clean, minimal and still fun.
Perhaps users could switch between isometric and top-down views depending on where they are in the city, how zoomed in/out they are on the map and what tasks they are trying to accomplish.
