The feeling of winter has started to intensify in the capital since evening. As the night deepens, cold winds and dry weather are making the chill more noticeable across the city. The Meteorological Department has said that temperatures may drop a little further after midnight, causing the cold to be felt more strongly until dawn. If this cool airflow continues, night temperatures may fall slightly more over the next one or two days in Dhaka as well as in other parts of the country.
On Wednesday (24 December), the Meteorological Department reported that the lowest temperature recorded in Dhaka over the past 24 hours was 15.2 degrees Celsius. However, as usual, the impact of winter is more pronounced in the northern regions. Today, the country’s lowest temperature was recorded in Tetulia of Panchagarh, at 9.2 degrees Celsius.
