Blockchain is like a chain of blocks that store information about transactions (crypto transfers).
Each block contains:
π a list of transactions,
β° a timestamp,
π a cryptographic code (called a hash),
π§± the hash of the previous block (this links the blocks into a βchainβ).
To make it simple:
π Imagine a cash register that records every purchase in a notebook β but this notebook is public and cannot be altered.
2. π Why is blockchain considered secure?
π Data cannot be changed β once something is recorded, it cannot be deleted or edited.
π₯ Decentralization β copies of the chain are stored on thousands of devices, not just one server.
π Transparency β anyone can view the records.
