Went to a crypto meetup. One guy ordered beers for his friends. Friends want to pay back $5. Pay back options: 1. use local Fiat wallet 2. use crypto wallet 3. use cash Observation: > People pay in Fiat using local e-wallets (even though it's a crypto meetup!) > Nobody has cash > Process takes longer than ordering beers Conclusion: > crypto payments are too time consuming for casual transactions (confirm recipient's address, chain, convert assets, move cross-chain, ...) > local Fiat wallets work between locals; not an option if you are travelling. > local Fiat wallets require recipient's phone number, not cool if you don't want to share. I am super bullish on @transfermole because paying social usernames is easy, doesn't jeopardize privacy, and 4.2 billion people have a social media account somewhere.

Sharing some insights here since nobody on X/Twitter has guessed it correctly as yet. We are deploying support for WhatsApp, which means you can receive crypto + card payments with you WhatsApp number from now on too. ✌️🚀
