Can someone explain what the ‘channel pivot’ means?

Note: the channel pivot will affect /rounds and potentially also MOXIE channel tokens in a negative way. The reason is because rounds open up the channel to the public, which will no longer be possible. Likewise, at least smaller channels, need community engagement to boost channel tokens. I asked Dan about and there "might be a solution"
