Another tip. Keep track of your turns counter! If you have 10/40 and 10 moves left you need 3 target shapes per move. Don't waste a lot of moves on non-target shapes. Most moves should be either 1) a surge 2) a target shape clear, 3) a big cascade. Board isn't promising? Don't be afraid to use an early surge.
