⚠️ Important note for stakers When you stake $RIPS, you receive stRIPS (staked RIPS) as a representation of your staked balance. When you unstake, stRIPS is burned and your original $RIPS is returned. Recently, someone created a liquidity pool for stRIPS, so it now shows up in wallets as a normal tradable token. However, stRIPS is not a token you should transfer or trade. IF YOU DO, YOU PERMANENTLY LOSE THE ABILITY TO UNSTAKE THE EQUIVALENT AMOUNT OF RIPS. So: • Do NOT transfer or sell your stRIPS • Be careful with dust-cleaning tools • Seeing stRIPS in your wallet is normal, it simply represents your staked balance We’re working on an upgrade to replace stRIPS with a non-tradable version, so this can’t happen going forward. If you’ve been affected, you should still be receiving staking rewards. After the upgrade is deployed, we’ll assess the full scope and look at how we can make things right for affected stakers.
