RIPS SEASON 4 UPDATE 馃毃
Season 4 focuses on building momentum. Rips has grown quickly, and the feedback from active players is helping to shape what comes next. We鈥檙e rolling out a set of changes designed to improve sustainability, balance, and long-term flexibility, while opening the door to new game modes and mechanics we鈥檙e excited to ship.
Here鈥檚 what鈥檚 changing:
1. Pack Economics 馃挵
Pack ranges are getting another update. We had previously tightened the ranges as an experiment, but feedback from several users made it clear that the ranges felt overly constrained. Season 4 introduces a wider range, falling between 70% and 130%. This creates more variance in outcomes, with clearer wins and losses, and makes upside moments more exciting when they hit.
2. Free Rips & Access 馃啌
路 Double Dip Tuesdays are being retired.
路 Free rips will now be capped at 10,000 per day, first-come, first-served.
路 Bot restrictions are being tightened across the board. If you鈥檙e a real user and not seeing free rips early in the day, please reach out. Note that purchasing any pack automatically whitelists your account.
3. Staking Tiers 馃幆
Staking tiers are transitioning to static levels rather than percentage-based thresholds. See the attached visual for the full staking tier breakdown.
4. New Game Modes Coming Soon 馃挜
Discovery Packs
Discovery Packs are designed to have, on average, a positive expected value (EV) for users. These packs focus on newer, more volatile, lower-market-cap and lower-liquidity coins submitted through our self-serve My Rips portal. These packs help surface emerging projects while providing builders and creators with exposure, distribution, and monetization. Boosted Packs
Boosted Packs are limited-edition, partner-sponsored packs designed to deliver a positive EV. These drops are partially funded by partners seeking to increase visibility and distribution, enabling us to pass additional value directly to users! Boosted Packs will appear periodically and won鈥檛 always be available.
With Season 4, we鈥檙e building a stronger foundation. These updates unlock new experiments, new partners, and new ways to play. We're so excited to keep building alongside our amazing community!
