The collapse of the PFP project revealed a cruel fact: the scarcity created by the ERC-721 standard is a false proposition. When on chain identities are restored to JPEG hash values, and SocialFi tokenizes interpersonal relationships, we may need to invent new asymmetric encryption systems that can both verify digital uniqueness and resist human mean regression.
