Every evening, Rahim sat by the river after work, watching the water flow without stopping. People often asked him why he wasted time there instead of chasing bigger dreams. He never answered. Years ago, Rahim had tried everything—money, fame, approval. He spoke loudly so people would notice him, worked endlessly so they would praise him. But the more he chased, the emptier he felt. One day, exhausted, he sat by the river for the first time. He noticed something strange: the river never tried to prove its worth. It didn’t stop to explain how deep it was or how far it could go. It simply flowed. That day, Rahim stopped explaining himself too. He chose work that gave him peace, friends who understood silence, and dreams that didn’t need applause. Slowly, people stopped questioning him. And those who still did—no longer mattered. The river kept flowing. So did Rahim.
