When was the last time you saw a firefly?
For many people, this is a memory stored in childhood. For today’s children, it risks becoming an experience that may never happen.
Fireflies didn’t disappear by chance. They are sensitive indicators of a balanced ecosystem. They need the night in its purest form: real darkness, humidity, and the silence of a living forest. Where light pollution spreads and forests are cleared, they simply vanish.
There are very few places left where we still have the privilege of seeing them in abundance, because the night is still truly dark. With minimal artificial light and preserved forest, the landscape can continue to pulse with life for a long time.
