🔥🔥🔥Major attack on #SUI network! A hacker managed to infiltrate the famous #Cetus DEX using Oracle Manipulation. By creating fake tokens, the hacker tricked smart contracts into thinking that the price of a token was too high, then used that fake price to withdraw real money from liquidity pools! The result? Several popular Sui tokens crashed: • $LOFI: down 76% • $HIPPO: down 80% • $SQUIRT: down 97%! • Cetus itself also dropped 53% The total theft was around $200 million! He transferred $61.5M to the #Ethereum network $164M is still sitting in his wallet on Sui! 🔥 #USDC is in the middle because the attacker is moving money with it. But as usual, Circle is late! Many criticized them for not freezing sooner. Tether didn't do any better either! The Sui team is not saying anything right now and has just suspended Cetus contracts to prevent further losses. And what's even more strange is that the #SUI token itself has grown by 2.2% in this situation!
