Interesting read as always. Not sure how much I agree with Graeber's ideas regarding currency and the bartering system, but I do agree that blockchains will gradually become irrelevant as agents and other decentralized systems evolve. Technology by nature is ephemeral after all.
My question is, if agents and tokens grow beyond human intentions, then what exactly will be their goals and interests become? How will that effect humanity down the road?
