I know getting new technology to work often boils down to experimenting and making mistakes, but with all these problems rapidly getting worse, it feels like I'm not given much grace to make any mistakes or screw-ups. The more I screw up, the longer it takes to get it working and the sooner we get to doomsday. I feel like that's where most of my apprehension and inaction comes from. I know I need to try being optimistic, but when I look at how bad it's become, all I can feel is pessimistic. I have to scramble up a mountain as fast as possible, but I have no idea how to mountain climb.
