I’m already tired of saying, writing, and typing the word ‘resonant’ — it’s a word I run into every single day. In chest exams, respiratory exams, abdominal exams… you percuss the patient and immediately have to report the findings. “Resonant,” “dull,” “hyper-resonant” — on repeat. It’s so common that some consultants even use it to mess with us. They’ll call you over, start percussing your head, and deadpan, “It’s resonant.” “Highly resonant.” I interact with this word so much that there’s no way I’ll ever forget it. And next week? I’ll probably use it more in seven days than most people do in a year. At this rate, Word-a-Day and Adrienne should just update the vocabulary with resonant every day, lol 😂 CC: @adrienne
