The one thing I love about this day and age is how the Otaku community has continued to proliferate.
Back in 2023, I was watching an anime and the girl next to me said she was disgusted and didn’t want to see it. Go back even further, before 2020, and you could literally count the number of people who watched anime on your fingers.
Now it’s different. You mention Solo Leveling and the new-gen fans are talking instantly. Drop a Kamehameha and the OGs react. Say One Piece and the old-gen jumps straight into a Naruto vs. One Piece debate.
The way this culture has proliferated is beautiful. We’ve come a long way, and it’s honestly incredible to see.
