When we’re talking about top villains in anime history, Johan Liebert from Monster has to be number one on anyone’s list.
This character is the perfect definition of nefarious. How can someone be that wicked and evil without a reason? He manipulated, tormented, and destroyed lives just to prove a point — not even for revenge. He just wanted to see how far he could push people into despair.
He killed without hesitation, and he didn’t need explosions or power-ups to scare you. You wouldn’t just feel fear watching him — you’d feel the hatred and cold snare in the room. The way he planned things, even off-screen, could send shivers down your spine.
Pure nefarious presence.
