In Nigeria, we Gen Zs have a saying: “small yansh dey shake.” Loosely translated: “little butts are moving.”
Perfect example? My pre-clinical days. We had a GST lecturer who gave the most didactic lectures I’ve ever sat through. She’d turn a simple English class into a military parade — we had to be seated hours before time, dressed sharp, backs straight, no breathing too loud.
And what am I using from that class today? NOTHING. Absolutely nothing.
So here’s a small, insignificant course mimicking a major one that’ll actually shape my med school journey. Truly, small yansh dey shake, lol.
