I’ve been told I have impeccable music taste. But honestly? I don’t think “music taste” is even real. It’s mostly propaganda — a lie we tell to make people feel superior for listening to the “right” artists at the “right” time. We all do it. Some call trap “beats and vibes.” Others call Afrobeats “sound and dance.” I’ve even said R&B is for sleeping 😂 Everyone has their own version of it. But here’s the truth: your music taste says something about you. It doesn’t automatically make it impeccable. The whole world is raving to Drake right now, but half of them are also saying he’s just jumbling beats and lyrics. Some are still dragging up the Kendrick feud. None of that means the person listening to him has faultless taste. It just shows how we see the person, and how they see the world.
