One reason this country can’t move past this turmoil is the lack of parity. The people at the top see those of us below as a group that’ll just keep taking whatever nonsense they throw down. They act like ‘trash’ shouldn’t mingle with ‘dirt’, so they never actually see the country’s problems.
As long as the crisis doesn’t touch them, they assume everything’s fine.
