I’ll never forget visiting a consultant who was on leave. Boy oh boy — you can’t imagine that house. Idyllic is the only word for it.
The color palette was so refined. For a place where most Nigerians don’t pay much attention to interior painting, his home looked like something out of a magazine. I honestly thought I was abroad for a second.
Outside, the compound was perfectly arranged: chairs tucked in a corner under an umbrella catching the breeze, and a flower garden in front that made the whole paintwork pop even more. The architecture itself left me stunned.
That’s the standard I want for my own home someday — straight out of a book, effortless and beautiful. I’ve seen beauty before, but that day was an idyllic discovery I still can’t get over.
