One thing my relationship has forced me to learn over and over is incisive thinking.
It matters more than you’d expect. People are wired differently, and even the smallest differences mean you can’t assume you know what someone else is thinking.
You don’t realize how important it is until you’re in a fight or a disagreement. If you can’t articulate your thoughts clearly, you just make things worse. The upside is that it never really stops—getting better at it is a constant learning curve.
